I know this post is a little old, but, I figured I would just put this here anyways.

Whenever I change the color of something, I usually extract the bitmap for the model, and change the hue/saturation of it in photoshop (or whatever photo editing program you use). I've done this to turn hunter's armor gold instead of blue, and I've also used this to change the color of jackal shields.

you have to use tool to turn the image back into a bitmap tag, you put the image file in the data folder once your done editing it. If i remember correctly, the image has to be a .tiff file. its been a while since I've done this, I think you type this into tool once the image is in the data folder.

tool bitmaps (directory)
an example would be: tool bitmaps elite\bitmaps

I think this puts the new bitmap tag in the tags folder.
again, its been a while since I've done this, you can probably find bitmap tutorials on Youtube if your still stuck.

The only problem im having is that my 3dsmax keeps crashing for some reason, is there another program that can be used to animate or a way to fix the crashing?

EDIT: It crashes when i begin animating the dropship model.

Nope. I should probably mention that i completely reinstalled Halo CE and HEK and it came up with the same error.

EDIT: NEVERMIND, i was being a idiot. i have no excuse for my stupidity so. im sorry for wasting your time. please go back and enjoy your day. i was being dumb and forgot that is could put more than 1 script in a single notepad document. idk why but apparently i forgot how scripts worked. i will leave my stupidity here for you to read:

i have 8 scripts in my map but when i add one more the intro cutscene script doesn't do anything. and its not just that one script, i can remove a random script then the intro cutscene script will work again. so is 8 scripts the maximum amount of scripts you can have in a map?

Try overwriting the vehicles folder and retest before you try anything else.

ok i tried overwriting the vehicles folder and it says this now. I also able to open b30 but after a few minutes my computer froze so i had to restart it. i dont know why but now i cant open b30 any more. this is for b40:

Hello, i have a problem with sapien. sapien wont open any of the original campaign missions. right now i am trying to open B40. here is what i found in the debug.txt file. if you have the answer let me know.
