How about the giant red hunters from Halo Legends that were also supposed to be in Reach? Dunno if anyone's accepting to work off of ideas from users but I thought of something interesting, or at least a portion of a potential single player map. The protagonist would be a rather low-ranked elite supported by a squad of fellow elites. Some light blue, some dark blue. The squad leader (not you) is red. Anyhow, you got this squad moving through trails throughout a jungle on a raised plataeu, meeting resistance along the way in an atempt to catch up with an enemy Halo 2-styled scarab moving along the cliffside. Possibly these enemy covenant are heretics or rebels. There are a few points along the jungle close to the cliffside and these are opportunities to board the scarab. Once aboard the scarab, you are to eliminate any hostiles and wait for the squad leader to take the wheel. From here, it's one of those defend the mobile platform like in Gears of War 2 or at least until the scarb reaches it's destination. Where is that destination? What is the long term goal? What do they need such firepower for? Was this merely for show and all they needed was transport which could not be provided at the time? I don't know. All I do know is that this has potential. |
