i didn't actually type quotes in command prompt, i'm just quoting what i typed.
i'm typing "tool build-cache-file levels\bliss\bliss" bliss is the name of the map and it's saved under tags\levels\bliss
Quote: It should end upo in your maps directory so check there aswell! Actually, it's the very first place i checked, and i've already said that it's saved under the tags folder under levels, and it works just fine, but i want it as a .map file so i can send it to my friends.
Quote: are you running vista/7? then you need to make sure tool and CMD are both set to run as admin yes i am running vista, but the cmd and tool are both working just fine, and i don't see how it will make my map into a .map instead of being saved as many different files. like i said, it comes up in halo, and plays just fine, but it's not a .map
that's the exact code i used, but it's not saved as a .map
i want it to go from the 3 files, to 1 .map
They are under the levels folder as a .bitmap, . scenario, and a .scenario_structure_bsp
do you know how i can convert them to a single .map?
I can make maps just fine, but i can only put them in raw files. (saved in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\data\levels) I wan't to know how to make it into a regular .map file. Do I need a program or am i just missing something? (Yes the map plays just fine)
