I am making a mod to a map (not my BA one) where every time you die when you re-spawn you start off with a different weapon. Like right now i made an item collection tag that has 3 different permutations (Assault Rifle, shotgun, and a SMG) these are just to mess around with right now.

what sort of item collection permutations do you think are good ideas?

like for slayer what would be a fun ballance where every time you die to usually get a different weapon. imagine a slayer game where your starting weapon is random.

imagine: awww darn i got stuck with a plasma rifle, you die and then are like OMG..ROCKET LAUNCHER. of course for this you would need to make it so a person can't kill themselves, like nades do not hurt the person throwing them. ANd it would need to be in a level where you can't drop and kill yourself.

sounds interesting. how exactly are you accomplishing this? it might be a good concept to put in my maps

make a new item collection tag. select the first .weapon tag you want. then click add and do it again. you could really do it all you want. lol how about a 15 permutation item collection tag lol.

i was playing around in gurilla today and then remembered playing a map where when you died you would start off with a different weapon and then it came to me.

it's quite easy.

it would be good for power weapons in maps as well. So like sometimes it would be a flamethrower, sometimes a rocket launcher, sometimes a fuel rod, or whatever.

my idea was for three different assault rifle types to start off with. Like one could be like a h3 assault rifle, my recharing assault rifle, and some other type. Maybe one with a slower rate of fire but a more damaging round.

a good one would be: regular assault rifle, and the two assault rifles in doublegulch v2- the ma2b and ma2d.

hehehehe i love having halo 3 AR tags. good stuff, really helps put variety into the game, but as long as you dont make the assualt rifles all look exactly the same, but fire and act differently
