First check to be sure your video card is supported. If it is then update your video drivers.

Dennis, what's my Video Card have to do with Direct3d? I tested it in DXDiag, and it said it was fine- and, is this update free? No viruses right?

Direct3d is a software componet to the video system. Some video cards do not support all of the functions but work fine for standard applications. Video games require much more functionality from the video card and make calls to the the Direct3d software to access them. If the video card does not support them then the game program will not run. That is why the individual games list the cards they will work with.

You are out of luck. You will have to upgrade your graphics card (hardware) in order to play Halo. A quick search of the Intel website shows that the card will not operate with Halo.
