I am making an AI map where you start off in a pelican high up in the air and drop down onto a structure. It will be a single player experience but in multiplayer meant to be played over lan. It's pretty high up so the player dies before hiting the ground, thats why i need no fall damage.

But for this i realized i need no fall damage.

Where do i go to change that, i think gurilla but i am not sure where at.


I want to do no fall damage so i don't have to make a teleporter, i really want to give the player the experience of falling like they are being droped into the action.

so how do i make no fall damage?

No AI does not sync at all. This map is meant to be played with just one person over lan. It's basically just a single player experience played over lan.

I know you can get rid of it with cheat_jetpack but i really don't want have people have to open dev to play the map.

I need to figure out how to just make no fall damage.

it's quite fun to add AI to an existing map, i understand now why there are so many modded maps with AI.

I am modding an existing custom map, it took forever to find an unprotected map i liked. I wont say the name of the map because things sometimes change.

but man it takes alot of time to work ai into a map, especially if you are doing it like it's a mission.

the hardest part is placeing things in the right places, as moving things about in sapien is a pain.

i will put it up when it's done of course.

this is my first AI mod and i want it to turn out well.

btw anyone know how to set nav points for the race game type?

actually another method of making your biped immune to fall damage is to open it up in guerilla and find the part in it where it's a check box that says: "Immune to falling damage" and make sure t's checked.

did you know about object_destroy_all? it destroyes pretty much everything in the level.

I did that during that level where you first meet the flood. I hate flood so it was a good idea for me to just destroy them all.

rider_ejection <#> (makes you stay in vehicle if its flipped

Ai_Allegience <Team> <team> (if you put player flood it would make you allies with the flood

rasterizes_fog_atmosphere <#> (takes out atmospheric fog>

rasterizer_fog_plane <#> takes out fog plane

Rasterizer_wireframe <#> (show the map in wireframe) it's awazing how many people use this is multiplayer

It's okay if you are just messing around and stuff but if your actually trying to play and win it's really lame and noobish.

apparently AI don't sync at all, according to dennis, but i think there is a way...H Guru said that you might be able to with a external application.

and anyways...

you can change the fall damage in HMT, i think when you edit characters\cyborg_mp (or wtvr it is), you can tick a box which says: "not hurt from falls"

i just changed it in the globals.

my mod is close to complete actually, now just got distracted trying some other bipeds out.
