I know I could ask this on discord but hey, why not do it here one last time...
Halo CE means a lot to me, I'm worried that there are fewer and fewer players and that the available servers don't offer a classic game and so many others are... dead.
Is there any solution? Do you know a good server? anything to avoid playing MCC while I can still enjoy HCE for a while. I'm considering creating my own or looking for a dead one that at least plays well and, hopefully, people start to arrive xD
Anyway, I'm sorry I haven't been part of this community before, I wish I had given myself the time to at least create my own map to have contributed something to the community...
Thanks for everything guys, I hope you have luck and I'm sorry about the forum...
Thanks :3

I have also had trouble finding a good server: a lot of people pad their player counts with "bots" that are simply inactive bipeds. I think this has done damage to the actual player population because it's harder to tell when a server is "real" or filled with these dummies. I think that if you decided to host a dedicated server with a good map rotation, though, people would show up.

The feeling of "I wish I'd contributed something" does tug at the heartstrings: I always wanted to upload something to the map archive but never quite got around to it. But it's not too late to learn the basics of modding, and there are Discord communities and a couple of other forums where you can pass your map around. I say go for it. If we've learned anything here, it's that modding Halo can lead to years of entertainment.

Thanks for answering man :3
I managed to contact some administrators of the "HLN Race" server, I remember that it was a server in both versions (Custom edition and Combat evolved) that was very famous, and we are gathering some people to organize and play on the server, anyway , yes, I'm planning to create my own and was already experimenting a bit with the map development kit!
Thanks for the support brother, I hope that one of these days, something that I created myself will appear on discord and that, with some luck, others will like it, or maybe one day I will find them in a game, whatever it may be, thank you very much !

I understand what you mean, it is unfortunate that the MCC does not provide as good as a gameplay experience as Halo Custom Edition when it comes to community hosted services due to limitations that have been placed on it.

There are ongoing community efforts to revive the Gearbox port with some real engine fixes, but this will be a long task and is not guaranteed to bring people back to the game, and honestly it is unlikely to do so.

All that said, the Race gametype with vehicles seems to still be able to fill a server on Halo Custom Edition, even now.
