My guess is that they'll just be preset marines, i don't think he'll go through the trouble of making sure every single marine that you left will be the exact same when you get back. Or if they'll even be alive. Makes me think of that moment where you leave the marines in the command deck of the ship for 5 minutes and you come back and they're slaughtered.

Between the events of those missions i'd say there's a fat chance most of them will survive the flood AND the covenant.

It might also explain why they're adding missions to the campaign, like the mission about rescuing marines and defending alpha base? from the flood and covenant.

I think people have taken peoples hopes and just assumed we'd do it.

There are no plans to include marines in any missions that they weren't already originally in. There are a number of limitations we have to live with so the only thing you can unlock for 2 betrayals is the grizzly tank.
