Hey guys does anyone know where I can get the game's scripts?

The only thing I found was the Zteam script and UI thing and as usual you get magical errors and nothing ever works.

I was testing a10 and accidentally undid the script and now I have no scripts...

Zteam script gives me this error: this left parenthesis is unmatched.: (script dormant mission_final

there should be more than that in your debug log. But post that specific script here and I can tell you if it's right

remove any scenario scripts and recompile them.

dude all you need to post is the mission_final_script, not everything but the mission_final.

And don't listen to halonimator, every time you hit compile scripts in sapien it erases the old ones.

Zteam's scripts are perfect, you probably deleted a line by accident.

All I did was extract from archive (done the data folders) and went into Sapien, upon compiling script you get a bunch of text across the render window from what looks like to be dialog (hence the marine names, grunts and "go go go" "all clear" crap).

Upon using my untouched script from my scenario tags (I found my backup!!) they work whereas Zteams do not.

Anyway, so I fixed it, HOWEVER...

When I use the script for my modified a10 I spawn in the start room with nothing to do because the cutscene nor anything else loads. WTF? Is it because I modified the map, the scripts are all inaccurate and fail to load everything?

Hell I bet if you or anyone else gave me your scripts they wont even work for me despite them working on your end.

what changes did you make to the scenario. The scripts likely failed because you removed something in your custom scenario.


It sounds like your scenario has no scripts in it, check in guerilla or Mozzerilla to see if they are infact in there.

AH! THERE IS NO SCRIPT! What?! I compile it in Sapien and it does its usual done lines and I save yet Guerrilla and the game don't have/run the script.

When I compile the script with my a10custom.scenario the script seems to never show (Guerrilla has nothing there).

When I compile the script with my a10.scenario it works fine and the script is there in Guerrilla.

...What the hell? Is it because I use custom bsps in my modified scenario?

data/levels/a10 (a10.hsc is in the a10 folder)

I had an epiphany... It will take forever but in Kornman can I copy every script and global from the default a10 scenario and replicate it in the custom a10 scenario? Or will this totally break it?

According to Kornman the default a10 scenario has entries within the scripts, globals and references sections however the custom a10 scenario has the sections blank... I assume when you rip scenarios they lose all these things...?

EDIT: Screw it. I quit. I'll go back to adding existing assets to the base game's scenarios... I don't have the time and patience for things like this...

lol you don thave the scripts in the right location. it would be data\levels\a10\scripts

As awesome as that mistake sounds, I wish this was the case... I made a typo, I did have the 'scripts' folder...

Unfortunately the magic script of nothing still compiles...

Don't worry though, I quit. At least I had fun making the stuff and being inspired. Too bad I could never actually play them.

EDIT: I was stubborn enough to return to it but now I have a new error... I can't even run the scenario in Sapien now and get this error: #495: script node index #4 (0xe3770004) is unused or changed.

Crap never ends... Fix one thing, break another thing...

I figured it out again! There is a corrupt global entry... Now... I just have to figure out which one it is...

EDIT2: I deleted a global entry and now the error is: #30 (0xe391001e), so did this mean global entries no. 4 and 30 are broken?

EDIT3: EXCEPTION halt in \halopc\haloce\source\cseries\cseries.c,#368: size>=0 && size<MAXIMUM_STRING_SIZE.

SCREW THIS CRAP!

These seems like errors from using opensauce tags in non-opensauce tools, try the opensauce hek.
