I've tried changing textures in the covy shield. It shows up in Sapien but when compiled ingame it reverts back to the regular texture. Does anyone know what's going on?

Operating system?
It could be a registry overwrite issue I remember having something like it happen on an old vista machine a few years back but it is a long shot.
Try deleting all effects/bitmaps associated with the shield. (And uncouple the directory inputs in guerilla)
Then recompile and see what happens.

C:\users\xxxx\appdata\local\virtualstore\program files (x86)\microsoft games\halo custom edition Or you could recreate the same shield scenery object within another directory and utilize that as the piece for your map. Perhaps the bitmaps.map could be interfering.
