Hello everyone, I'm ofter not home when playing Halo and I really prefer the Xbox Controller istead of mouse and keyboard. But the DeadZone is really low, I've red about 10% and it's horrible. Know any solution? Edited by cippozzo on Feb 13, 2016 at 10:40 AM

Hello everyone, I'm ofter not home when playing Halo and I really prefer the Xbox Controller istead of mouse and keyboard. But the DeadZone is really low, I've red about 10% and it's horrible. Know any solution? I used the xbox 360 controller and the deadzoning was always an issue. That said, my solutions to problems (that were persistent) was to use Xpadder for the WASD emulation and enable reticle_magnetism 1 command. The right analog stick would always be a bit sensitive, but it worked well enough. Before I used the 360 controller, I would use an original Xbox controller because the drivers (made by some guy\team) were really good and allowed for control of deadzoning on buttons, triggers, and sticks. http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-Controller-S-Blue/dp/B0000C6EDL/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1455407655&sr=8-3&keywords=xbox+controller+s+type http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-Controller-PC-USB-Adapter-Cable/dp/B000RT2868/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1455407723&sr=8-2&keywords=xbox+controller+to+USB (I used to make my own Xbox-to-USB cables, but you can buy them now)

AFAIK there's nothing that can be done about the right stick's deadzone.
Also it's player_magnetism 1, not reticle_magnetism 1 Unless you use a controller with drivers that allow for the changes. The only ones I know of are the XBCD and DS4 drivers (original xbox controller and PS4 controller)

Have you tested the original Xbox controller? How do you get it connected via USB? Did you make your own connector?
This is of great interest to me, I have a bunch of Xbox guys in my Discord group that would love to be able to play with the controller they're used to, and correct the deadzones for both sticks :)
