Hey guys its me GoldenThugPig here and today I have a question. So when I realized Halo 2 anniversary was never gonna be on Xbox 360 I was furious. But while I was mad I came up with a idea. The idea to do my own remake of Halo 2, but I have a question about my plan. Is it possible to actually make a remake of Halo 2 on Halo Custom Edition? Like I seen videos on youtube of people making custom missions and one of the videos was a campaign mission of Halo 3 using Custom Edition. If it is possible for my plan to work then where should I start in using the Halo CE Custom Edition?

lol, if you seriously just want to play Halo 2 just play it on the OG Xbox or stick it in a 360 and play it on that, backwards compatibility isn't just limited to the Xbone afterall.

Tbh it might be possible but It isn't something which would be learnable and do-able in a year or so.

Try 7-8 years.

^ that. If you don't have experience with Halo 1, it is probably not the most effective use of time to learn H1, just to do it in this day and age. If you already knew Halo 1 and HEK well, it would be a different story, but learning it just for it..

Anyways, its not at all impossible, its just moar :effort: than its worth
Some old progress on H2's level, 06a (sentinel wall?)
And, since you want H2 Anniversary, you need to have good modeling skills for the BSPs atleast (assuming you just rip the character models from the newer games like H4); if you don't have modeling skills, work on that first, regardless of where you're making it.

If I ever get a proper amount of free time, ill try to finish my H2 stuff, but I am under the impression ill never have proper amounts of free time ever again.

Nobody is actually stopping you from trying
But it's really not worth the effort or time
Unless you wanted to use it as a learning curve of some sort to create your own projects
But the actual objective of porting Halo 2 (especially Anniversary) to Halo CE is... meh.

Just to put it into perspective, pseudo-CMT tried doing it and they only got so far so...
