basically, the game, when I try to change the video settings, goes to the "Halo" loading screen, and then theres a split second for me to confirm the changes that I can't ever meet. It's so frustrating, does anyone have a solution to this?

Maybe It's because you're black.

Could it be the UI you're using?

Just as a random idea, seeing as i rarely ever get gfx issues, try changing one setting at a time rather than in bulk. You may be able to isolate whatever is causing you issues and maybe hone in on that specifically. Take with a grain of salt because, again, i dont think ive seen this before

Create a shortcut of the HCE .exe.
Right click this shortcut and press Properties.
In the Target window, at the end of all the text already there, add -Vidmode [height],[width],[refresh rate] (without the [])
So after you're done, it should look like:

"X:\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\haloce.exe" -Vidmode XXXX,XXX,XX

I've had this error before but only when changing between VSYNC/NO VSYNC/30FPS. I think it had something to do with the fact that VSYNC was being forced by my GPU control panel.
