I can't "self-bump" my own thread, where this topic was raised, even after weeks of waiting... so... Quote: --- Original message by: stunt_man Can anything be done about the fact that some weapons spawn slightly "off" from their positions, compared to LAN? For example, load up hangemhigh in LAN and go into "office" (little window area) and notice how the shotguns are centered. Then load it up on a dedicated server and notice how they've shifted closer to the wall. I haven't forgotten this. In the scenario, where are the weapons REALLY located? Where they appear to be in LAN, or where a dedicated server puts them?

I'd say open them up in Sapien and see if the weapon positions match either LAN or internet.

Not sure what your question is.
The "real" location is their coordinates in Sapien.
If you intend for your map to be played on dedicated servers, it's probably better to test your maps on a dedicated server and re-position the pickups accordingly.
By the way, I've only noticed this issue with shotguns (though I haven't tested thoroughly).
EDIT: If you're worried about nade tricks and weapons not landing where they should, I'm fairly confident it doesn't make a difference. Can easily be tested, though. Edited by stunt_man on Aug 23, 2015 at 08:33 PM
