and I also agree with Lodeman, overall the first Halo Wars did not have great gameplay. I enjoyed the campaign a little bit, but MP was terrible and did indeed just required rushing around, and the game lacked a lot of stuff content wise.

Hopefully this one will be better, but we will see.

They're (probably) not just going to make "total war: Halo." They'll look at Halo Wars 1 and probably focus on what that did then expand on that.

I do want this to be good, but The Creative Assembly's track record of console-centric strategy games isn't exactly stellar. Any of you remember Stormrise? It... wasn't great. To say the least. I would have vastly preferred to see some kind of Alien: Isolation spinoff set in the Halo universe from those guys. Like playing an ODST and trying to avoid a host of Covenant that massively outgun you. That would have been cool.

But yeah, excuse me if I don't sound too optimistic about a console strategy game from a company that have routinely fluffed up on the idea of console strategy.
