My idea is make a texture pack for popular halo ce maps like extintion, coldsnap , h2 ascension, h3 foundry, bigass, ...

Nothing very difficult...

This is the easiest suggestion for sure.

The only downside is that injecting the raw .DDS files will not work with Eschaton, so you're stuck with the lossy "import" option. This will, however, let you use any format of image, like jpeg, PNG, TIF, and maybe more.

It will be lossy though, i DO NOT recommend it for HUD elements or anything requiring delicate alpha channels.

ever mess around with texmod? its pretty cool you can use and make textures. you might need tpf extract to rip from the tpf files it makes from the texture packs.
