i downloaded adjutant and halo 4 .maps, i got the 3 shared maps and one other one in the same folder, but adjutant keeps saying it's invalid/in use when i open it.

i tried opening the .map that is opened in this video but it still doesn't work

what am i doing wrong?

You are using a version of Adjutant which hasn't even been released, I'd say.

i'm using this version

Show us a picture of what your folder looks like.

Which ever map you are extracting make sure you are using valid shared/mainmenu & campaign maps.

Occasionally users mix up these 3 maps up. Example if you are extracting a halo4 map but are using halo 3 campaign/mainmenu/shared maps the extraction will not work.

I suggest deleting what maps you have and re-downloading them into assorted folders.

Halo 4 maps folder - Location desktop
> Halo 4 ragnarok .map
> Halo 4 shared .map
> Halo 4 campaign. map
> Halo 4 mainmenu.map

Halo 3 maps folder
> Halo 3 thepit .map
> Halo 3 shared .map
> Halo 3 campaign. map
> Halo 3 mainmenu.map


Similarly you want to assort your halo reach downloaded maps into a separate folder, and the same for all the other halo console maps.
