hi all,
i search for advice about texture hand painting. Here my 1st attemp with gimp 2 to make an old wall texture :   What is the best program to do that and the best way ? i just used multiple brush and color variantion but my texture looks poor. |

i search a result similar to halo 2 delta texture but with better res.

Your work is decent. But the image it self has a real low dynamic range.
Common practice is to work at 2 or even 3x the resolution you intend to use. This way you preserve better quality even when scaling down and you can show off to your friends too! |
