Because if you aren't then why the hell not? You have insufficient funds for your project, please try again.

So you are using bumped surface detail.
I guess you are just lacking expertise in the baking department.

Watah confirmed btw. We are using normal maps for all of our assets. We are a team comprising of mostly experienced developers, we know what we're doing. Thanks for pointing out the smoothing issues though, we'll make sure to look into them.

Good stuff Bean and team, amazing how this project has moved forward. I'm curious, how did you manage to get such a large (and professional) group of people to join in on this?
Also very cool to see what Unity is capable of, that Valhalla-styled map looks terrific.

Out of all the halo fan games that are being created, I think this is the best of them all. Great trailer, bean. I remember how much the community bashed this idea, and how you defied all odds. Great looking project, and a great back story. Keep up the good work!

I champion this, keep the good work coming! & if you get sent a C&D go into hibernation, change the name and release it on reddit via Google Docs.

Chunkierbean, you guys nailed this game amazing, I remembered way before there were less progress and uff man, now you guys some how made this game in a good shape so QUICKLY. I love how you guys show yourself on camera and talking about the game and it felt to me that you guys proper cared for halo pc community and some of you guys knew that Microsoft wouldn't care for halo pc community, like no halo fan games don't barely show their true faces and personality like that. Looking how that warthog drives on that terrain reminds me how it was on Halo ce the second mission of a30 got me that feeling and now its finally returned, It's going to be greatest halo fan pc game. Chunkier as one of your developer team said in ViDoc that you guys will create modding tools, more contents and alot assets for halo community, this is going to be amazing than ever because you guys are the one with us, replying and showing us your progress and seeing how the gameplay is, this game has caught my attention really good. Its going to be really interesting seeing how people modding this and not pulling some big gigantic excuses saying "it won't work we need source code" as long you guys got the source code and being with us all time then I am defitantly up for it. And one thing I am dissapointed that you guys are NOT getting payed because of microsoft rights. You guys deserve alot more. So far this is best CE3 event 2016. I think I may have said this before but this project is a great example of progress. So much has been made over the years and every time I see it looks better and better. The Vidoc was interesting and it was great to see that many talented and hard working people are teaming up and spending time crafting this project. Some seriously great looking stuff here and can't wait to see more and eventually try this project out!

Thanks for pointing out the smoothing issues though, we'll make sure to look into them. Failure to spot smoothing artefacts on your own assets either means you aren't testing properly or you have too much faith in your prop development pipeline. Whatever though, It happens to the best of us and I'm glad you responded so I won't hold it against you. Edited by Super Flanker on Aug 22, 2016 at 01:44 PM

Quote: --- Original message by: altis94 They are using some CMT assets as placeholders. "Placeholders" Placeholders shouldn't be directly pulled assets from another team's project and then promoted as their own. Use some block-out models. Don't steal work. It's common sense. It's amusing that so much of that video contains a "placeholder" model. We worked very hard on the assets for TSC:E and it's a shame to see them poorly implemented as "placeholders" in someone else's project.
