I know there's one from the "forgotten exile" maps, stkft_v1, but it doesn't have proper 3p animations for melee or throwing grenades, etc. The melee is the big one, but I'm no good at animating or modeling, so I was wondering if there are pre-existing tags that are flood, but rigged to be fully playable in MP, similar to the elite_v2 playable biped that was released a while back?

You can make it by replacing the animation with .JMR anims and deleting keyframe on the legs you would have something like this in the end (last half of video : http://fr.xfire.com/video/5ecaf3/ ) Edited by bourrin33 on Nov 16, 2014 at 05:55 PM

What is a .JMR anim? (I know it's a format of some kind, but how do I go about obtaining one) What is a keyframe, and how do I delete it on the legs? Thanks for the reply, though

1) Import GBXmodel in max (bones or nodes as you want) 2) Use animation importer to get the flood melee 3) select legs bones, then select the colored things in the time bar (the bar where there is 0-100 usually, under viewports) on the entire anim and delete them 4) attempt to adjust animations for the other bones 5)Export in a new model anim, compile as a tag (adapt checksum in the tag if needed) 6)Use the animation injector to change melee and inject the newly made one 7)open in guerilla and add the melee animation in the weapon label section as melee (investigate to understand how it works) 8)profit

Yeah, something tells me that those seemingly simply 7 steps there require weeks of back-end modeling tutorials and learning how to animate in the first place...
You talk about "attempt to adjust animations for the other bones" like that's a 30 second process. I don't even know how animations work, other than they are changes in a model's structure over time.
In short, this list is a good list for someone who already knows how to do all of this, as you do. This is a very bad list for someone who knows extremely little about the subject. It seems so far that with my current skillset, the cost in time from digging through countless tutorials to find the right snippets of what I need, plus the time spent getting it all together, are much higher than I'm willing to spend. I spend way too much time tinkering with halo as it is :P
