This is probably going to surprise exactly zero people on this board, but the answer is NO, 343i did not fix the shaders they broke in H1A.
There were (are?) a bunch of MCC streams last night. I got into a scarcely-populated one and demanded the streamer to go into classic mode and look at jackals' shields and covenant dropships. I got a long enough glance to come to the conclusion that it must be completely over their heads (Bungie witchcraft). So jackal shields look exactly like they did in H1A (garbage) and the only difference (I think) I saw is that the garbage energy shader is now animated garbage. Cancelling my preorder, 0/10 jk still moderately hyped but worried about playlists :( |

Hmm any screens of this patch in action?
Also: doesn't work with CE. But I think I'll reinstall PC to try this... |

I think they were only allowed to play Silent Cartographer on H1, the level in H2 after the chief meets the Gravemind, the first level in H3 and I don't know about H4. Edited by stunt_man on Oct 30, 2014 at 08:55 PM |
