Msg. 1 of 2
Hi, recently I decided to mess around with the HEK for the first time and made a Danger Canyon variant. However, after compiling the map, I looked around in my maps folder and it wasn't there! However in Halo itself, I was able to load the map with no problems finding it. I even enabled the "Show hidden files and folders" option, and that didn't work. Is there any way to find the map file, or is there a way I could use tool.exe to compile it to a different place (like my desktop or something like that)?
UPDATE: Never mind, I figured out the problem, and that is that I needed to run tool.exe as an administrator BEFORE compiling the map, and it works wonderfully. Edited by Bitl on Oct 28, 2014 at 07:45 PM

It might've gone here.
%LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\maps
Type that in your start button or menu or whatever you guys use now. Edited by VKNG on Oct 30, 2014 at 10:40 PM
