I thought it wass good for campaign firefights, but spammed in multiplayer. Your opinion?

I think it was a really dumb mechanic that does nothing but slow down gameplay and delay a player/AI's impending doom. It's annoying how it was implemented into Destiny as well. Oh, this Hobgoblin goes invincible for a few seconds after I start shooting at him? That's ok, he's not damaging me during that time and I can just reload.
