Multi sub objects are super easy.
http://www.cadtutor.net/tutorials/3ds-max/multi-sub-object.php For something so simple it doesn't really matter if you have video or document tutorial. |

Basically it is covered in any map making tutorial, Weapon, Vehicle, Biped etc. If you're looking for some in-depth (Which i assure you there are) tutorials, then I suggest something like what was mentioned above.
