https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=1431831140438050&set=vb.100008335328159&type=2&theater /\ I made a 3d composition of a 2d flat nebula captcha from sputnik some time ago. I was wondering if there is anyway of importing video footage into halo ce, and then using that footage as a UI map. Most people say no, but a few have hinted to ways around importing videos I have a theory, which I can't test out since I don't fully understand animations but here goes. Is it possible to try and make a camera animation for halo in max, then simply split the video you want to implement into 1 second segments, then apply those segments as material bitmaps to a 2d plane in max. All you would have to do from there on out, would be to autokey the material, and as the frames progress you would naturally, replace the material bitmap's as you progress through the timeline. BTW, if anyone is interested, the nebula I created, was made using this \/ Edited by SS Flanker on Jul 21, 2014 at 07:10 AM

Yes, if you have enough tagspace and you don't mind a relatively choppy "video", you can indeed use a series of scenery planes and put a camera in front of them.
An example of the use of an animated series of scenery planes is the difficulty selection screen at the beginning of the "Firefight Descent" map. However, you would need to do this at a much quicker rate (maximum of 30 planes switched out per second) to give the impression of a video.
I recommend using a very short and looped animation sequence if you plan on doing this.
