GMYF - Now hosting proper MLG gametypes!

This needs to be said, with all the misinformation circulating around.

Halo PC/CE has not been "saved," and anyone going around saying it has been is simply drawing attention away from the Gamespy closure.

The only thing Game Ranger allows is P2P matches hosted from within the app.

Have a nice day.

Not true, I corrected a halomaps user this morning. And he's not stupid, either, he was likely just misinformed by all these articles circulating. PC Gamer, Joystiq, Shacknews, HBO, etc are all singing the praises of Game Ranger without understanding its limitations. I've been trying to comment on all these articles but it's better to spread awareness here - the most active Halo PC/CE community around.

It can't hurt.

I also hope so. Details are scarce, though.

This is why I have stated in the past Game Ranger sucks. Heck Xfire at least supports dedicated servers.

How does Xfire get the server list, though?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'd have to guess that all these third party solutions just reference the Gamespy server list.
