Quote: --- Original message by: clonecam117 I don't think the H4 Grunts are MEANT to be "scary". Alien, yes. Scary? No, that goes to the Elites (admit it, the H4 Elites look pretty scary) I actually like the H4 Covenant models. I think the H4 Elites look about as scary as my explosive crate. Doesn't look very scary but can cause massive damage. Edited by Dumb AI on Feb 27, 2014 at 10:54 PM

ruined some aspects from the previous games: the Grunts aren't cute anymore Edited by SOI_7 on Feb 27, 2014 at 09:58 AM I really appreciate this. I know aliens are supposed to be scary but cute was what made a grunt a grunt in my opinion. Same with speaking not alien, they where the only covenant in halo 1 to speak in the human's language and that was a large part of what made the grunt my favorite thing ever in halo. When Halo Reach came out and the grunts where just high pitched sounding Sangheili that destroyed me on the inside. It was a neat idea but after a while I missed the old funny grunts. h4 grunts are unspeakably terrible and ugly, not even scary. There stupid and dumb, not even silly. In my opinion. but anyways on gameplay mechanics, I like suicide grunts. Pointless, annoying, silly, fun! Gotta agree with you, though IMO the H4 Grunts are SLIGHTLY more cute than the H3/Reach ones (I mean, in H3 and Reach they look like they have a missing piece of head where the mouth should be, while in H4 they have an actual mouth...). The H1 and H2 Grunts are still the cutest, though

The H4 grunts sound closer to the H1 version, more so than they have since H3 IMO

They certainly are the most fun elites to fight since the first game, that's for sure.

Ya, the grunt dialogue was the best. In Halo 4, all I could understand was: "dflaboboka eifei adgrh" "odksfpsie!!" *Shoots* "ehbefooiwwioef!!!!!!!!!!"
Also... I am I the only one that found the H4 campaign boring? The prometheans are too meh- you can't have fun with 'em like you can with the Covenant. Edited by Hammad on Feb 28, 2014 at 04:51 PM

Probably not, but I for one did not find the campaign boring. And as for the H4 grunt voice, I found it to be funny. Just the way they sound, you know?

You guys have a talent for derailing threads. I guess so, but I got the information I need though so its all fine. The thread derailed after I got the general info I wanted.

I'm talking about pitch/tone, not language. The H4 Grunts have high-pitched semi-squeaky voices again, not the guttural low tones of H3-Reach.

I really like weapon accuracy in Halo. Unlike most other games, you can consistently and reliably hit targets while on the move. Also, energy shielding that keeps engagements fair instead of one combatant simply having higher health.
