The firing sound is just, too faded.

The reload sound is pretty cool, though the third (and last) part, when the player pushes the op handle, is too loud. I'd make it lower or change it. About the firing sound, unless you were going to fit the H3 style (though I've always hated the Halo 3 AR firing sound), I'd say it needs something more... it doesn't have the "THUD THUD THUD" of the HCE/H4 AR, but it is a simple "pew pew pew"... Oh, and the shield recharge sound is godlike. Keep it up!

My thought process behind the shield sound is this: The shield recharge is a freakin' FUSION REACTOR powering up... but the stock "hummmmm" sounds like a AA battery :( So I made it sound like the Batmobile (dark knight) engine XD

mixing gun sounds like that sounds really tacky and overbearing to be honest (especially weapons that fire different caliber rounds). The reload sounds were pretty bad likewise, there was a lot of clunking around for pieces that weren't actually hitting anything. I remembered watching a video ( here) which shows a good way to dissect the anatomy of a gunshot. Try using this to build up some better sounds. Watch that video up to around 3 minutes btw Edited by R93_Sniper on Feb 10, 2014 at 06:40 PM
