I've been following some tutorials on how to make reticles and I've managed to create some. But their either too big or I can't move the center position. I've copied the original reticles to see how they kept 3-4 reticles on one bitmap by offsetting their center points, but I can't get it to work at all either. I want to make some higher quality reticles but I also can't figure out how to make them smaller without changing the bitmap itself. Is there a way to simply shrink them in Guerilla, because I can make them larger, but not smaller for some reason. any ideas? thanks!

Open the weapon_hud_interface, scroll to the CROSSHAIRS section of the tag, find your replaced bitmap, and reference that one there. Once you do that, look on the scaling part of that section and adjust it accordingly.
For example:
If you want to decrease the size, try putting 0.8 for x and y sizes. If you want it bigger, try 1.2 for both, and so on.

Lmao. I can't believe I didn't try that... Thanks! I kept trying -0.5 or something, but I guess that it doesn't listen when it's a negative number. I figured out how to change the 'anchor offset' to have 2 or more reticles on one bitmap, but it still displays both reticles, even though one is way off. How do I tell it to only display the one that's centered? I think that it might have something to do with the sequence index, but I don't really understand how sprites work...

Yeah it's all based on the sequence indexes. Basically to make sprites, you get two bitmaps and combine them into one, but have a blue border around the two that is power of two. I'm on my phone so I can't upload an example, but imagine a cinder block with the holes facing you. Each hole is the bitmap, and the edges of the block are the blue border. Place the two bitmaps in one image file like that, run it through tool and it will be two indexes. I can tell you have both reticles in one bitmap, that's gonna give you the two reticles you described, and you rarely ever need to move the placement, just the size.

tool skips sprites that are a power of two for some stupid reason. So i make them at 35 x 35. With 2 it's 68 x 35. It tells me "error, can't extract without a valid plate" but says that no matter what i do. It still works though, it just can't be a power of 2. So now i have 2 reticles on one bitmap, but it still displays them both. I changed the sequence to 1 and then 2, and the map fails to compile because of it. I don't think tool is giving the sprite a sequence, but it's not converting them properly either... Idk what to do now. Does tool do this normally? I can make numerical bitmaps perfectly, but just not sprites.
