That is for Dennis to decide, It's Halo-related and doesn't troll so there is no need to remove this.

It's too much, the community will be spilting a part and moving off to different engine. I want everyone to stay on blam engine not new engine.

Not really. I've been working with both Halo CE, Cryengine, and UDK. People can still work with both engines at the same time. But I do understand that you worry about importing halo assets, since it could make Halo Custom Edition useless.

People here can barely do anything with this engine as it is. They won't get too far in cry or udk if they can't figure blam out. Cryengine is very input driven, and udk requires intermediate knowledge in several fields. Its not that its impossible, just overconfidence/eagerness for the majority of members here.

I gotta vouch for udk, its a pain in the rear end of a donkey

Yes, that's why I've chosen to use Unity. It's very easy to adapt to and has countless tutorials and kits. But what I really love about it is it's real time player. Just hit the play button and you can view your game all in the editor! But you guys may want to see this game: http://playrust.com/about/. It was made in Unity too.

That's cool then. But I've tried UDK, not a fan.

What the community needs is a blam-compatible engine, it must have a sapien, a guerilla , .map files, a client and a server.
But it must have new tools, more functions, and I think a .NET compatibilty for scripting.
So, an engine like blam.

12D engine is an example of a new blam engine, it's OpenGL, so cross-platform Windows/Linux/Mac/Android.
I'm thinking on a C# based engine, we have a lot of programs that can be decompiled wih IL Spy.
But if unity was Open Source we'd have a new engine since 2011.

So, lol hyper cross platform XD
I prefer .NET or C++, Java is not good for gaming, minecraft it's an example. If Minecraft was written in C++ like the Xbox version, it would run better in every PC.
