So there are threads for vehicles, weapons, bipeds, specific projects, misc-. But i haven't seen anything about lens flares and i had a question about them. So recently I've been messing around with the lens flares for the sun. I've got color, position and shape the way i want them, but i also wanted them to fade just after the actual sun left the screen. So i noticed that there was a "brightness scaled by" dropdown. I looked, and there was an option for distance from center. Perfect, right? Well, not exactly. It does exactly what i want, just not at the right distance. When i'm looking at the sun, they're visible. But they fade too quickly. The disappearing threshold is about halfway off of my screen. And they get too dim long before that. So my question is, is there a way to increase the distance before they start fading? I've tried things like making them brighter, positioning them farther away form the center, but the results were less than satisfying. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Tech support response doesn't work. Got anything else?

Have you tried copying values from other tags?

I can't find any tags with lens flares that slide across the screen besides the sun. And it doesn't have them fade by default. I'm adding that part for added effect.

What if you set brightness from like 1.0 to 0.5? Or copy same lens flare few times?

Setting them to be dimmer will just make them fade faster. And i don't think duplication will work either, as they'll all still be fading to full transparency at the same point.

EDIT: Altis the mighty wizard has solved the problem. Apparently i had overlooked the falloff and cutoff functions. Setting falloff to 0 and cutoff to 60 gave the perfect desired effect, as he suggested through PM. So props to him for helping.

And thanks to anyone else who tried for their time.
