You know I always like that map, even if people stopped playing on it in 06 or whenever it came out. You adding AI's with weird weapons on it destroyed it's silent cold style.

It is one of my favorite mp maps. I used to host it on my server and it was always empty :\

your map is bad if I can not use open sauce v3.1.0 on it

8/10 for the map.

While I think the community should definitely put more effort into creating more custom content, this was definitely a very nice attempt at a port. Try to create a custom Halo 4 style map to go with it, and then you'll definitely have a very well-done project.

the saw was a terrible smg replacement, whoever thought of it should've been fired on the spot.

The SMG, the SAW, the Needler or the plasma pistol... :v

I don't think the SAW was intended to be an SMG replacement. It's a squad support weapon.

if you're asking which one to add to your map, i'd say the pp, needler, and smg.


it isn't squad support. it's a CoD styled LMG that serves as an OP smg replacement. (then again every h4 weapon is OP in multiplayer)

Light machine gun, squad support weapon, and squad automatic weapon are all different names for what is essentially the same thing. It may play similarly to the submachine gun in multiplayer, I've no experience in that department, but from a technical standpoint they're two different classes of weapon. The SMG can also be dual-wielded, and to my knowledge functions similarly to the MA5B, where the SAW is more of a higher-capacity MA5D.

halo 2 and 3/odst plasma rifles were my favorite
one had vitality draining power/variety, and the other was a shield killer. plus halo 2 PRs sounded like they really hurt when you blast your subwoofer when listening to the firing sounds. halo a and 2 gun sounds were always painful sounding(except brute shot, halo 3 had a good explosion sound. LOVE a gun with a punchingly loud/painful sound that fits it... and a gun with big wings! my halo 2 plasma rifle can fly! :)
