You have to turn on particles (if you have it off).

Simple problems tend to have simple solutions.

Don't tell me you've been playing halo all this time with your graphics on low!

EDIT:: Actually, playing with particles off can be a good idea, it makes you able to see through explosion and muzzle smoke from the ar to give you an advantage in multiplayer

lol, at first they were on, i think this was before i found out i could play online. I played Halo offline for a while before i even knew i could get on. But yeah, it's allot easier to see with them all off. I think i turned them all off when i was trying to get rid of Lag and i had these crazy rainbow colors shooting out all over my map during play.

He would need an intel processor from the 90s to be playing halo on low settings...

it's so much more addictive with them on high too

That's kind of odd. I had that problem on my laptop (which had an Intel card) but that didn't happen with my piece-of-junk laptop (which had a basic ATI card)

Now, everything is great on my desktop. :D

i have a basic dell laptop. the game runs smooth most of the time, but that occasional Lag is a pest
