Hey. I have been trying to add the CMT SPV3 Carbine to a map (well, I added it to a test map at the moment just to see if it would cause errors) of mine, and it keeps crashing Sapian whenever I try to load the map. Here is the debug log message:

09.11.13 13:23:18 EAX: 0x00000000
09.11.13 13:23:18 EBX: 0x1250CA01
09.11.13 13:23:18 ECX: 0x00000000
09.11.13 13:23:18 EDX: 0x00000000
09.11.13 13:23:18 EDI: 0x0018EC60
09.11.13 13:23:18 ESI: 0x00000000
09.11.13 13:23:18 EBP: 0x0018EB38
09.11.13 13:23:18 ESP: 0x0018EB28
09.11.13 13:23:18 EIP: 0x77310C42, 83 C4 04 C2 ?????
09.11.13 13:23:18 EXCEPTION halt in \halopc\haloce\source\tag_files\tag_groups.c,#3142: offset>=0 && offset+size<=data->size

The Carbine is from the .map version of SPV3 a50.

i'm a noob at all of this but did you check for red text in Guerrilla ?

perhaps there is a sound file missing for that particular weapon

Actually, I did some poking around and it seems to be an issue with the first-person model_animations, which was causing issue in Guerrilla as well, with the same error. One of the animations in that file was flagged "compressed data". Unchecking it solves that issue, but, creates the issue of incorrect frame data size, which has the same result as having it checked. I don't know what to do to fix it.

I thought i remember hearing that it had something to do with corrupt shaders

...aand a little search just happens to point to one of my own posts from last year :P

I think that some of the shaders get corrupted upon extraction, there was a seperate release on the halomods thread that fixes most of the corrupted shaders (which still didn't work for some weapons for me, some of the weapons i found that were not working were the carbine and spiker i think... so i just used spv2 tags for them).

I think I remember ending up just slapping spv2 carbine fp animations on the spv3 carbine model and it worked just fine.
