1) In 3ds, click File>import. In file type, select ".wrl" and go to your Halo Custom Edition directory. There should be a .wrl file with the same name as your 3ds max file. Import it, and a new dialogue will appear. Only check off "import geometry" or something like that (uncheck the other two options). Now you'll have a bunch of new objects in your scene. Deselect all objects, hit F3 to go into wireframe mode. Open edges will appear a different colour than the other edges of your object. Delete the faces surrounding the open edge and remake them.

2) What do you mean "how do I get this area back to normal?

Thanks for the help

the getting back to normal part....

on the upper left side of the wireframed level there is a warped part of the box. It looks like a sphere tool was used to distort it. I don't know how that happened. Was wondering if there was some type of tool that would just restore it back to normal

Hmm, for that wireframe part. It looks like somehow a polygon (or it's four vertices) were selected and somehow scaled up, causing that look. You can select the four vertices again and scale it down uniformly (close to original, but will not be exact), however, I would individually move each vertex back to it's original position using the coordinates of the vertexes around them by doing a little bit of math (more precise and original).

I don't see a .wrl option in the selection list

Newer versions of 3ds max don't seem to have wrl importer anymore. You might have to grab chimp
