Hi all!

Well, as I've got nowhere else to ask for help, here I ask.

I installed 2 different versions of the classic campaign of Halo in Halo CE

Both had sound and graphic problems.
The first was the normal campaign, map per map, from CMT if I remember correctly. It ad some sound problems (steps, jumps...) Well, it doesn't seem much disturbing, but the sounds are screwed, and it hurts my ears, and I wanna play with sound if you know what I mean.

The second is the Super Campaign Refined. Here is the same sound problem, but this time with every sound. And it is graphicaly completely screwed (mosaic textures).

And I wonder the problem is comind from.
I'm on windows 7 64 bits, Graphic card Nvidia 630M and INtel HD graphics 4000.
Don't know for the sound...

Thx in advance for ya help ;)

I'd suggest you try downloading the stock campaign and see if you still get these issues. SPv2 was incomplete and buggy, while Super Campaign Refined isn't exactly top tier quality as it is. If you still get these issues, let us know

Tried as Killer said : running as admin. Not efficient.

Well, I've tried almost everything and nothing works.
Run as admin the shortcut, the program itself, re installed the original campaign but is messed all like SCR, switched Nvidia with Intel, reswitched and put all parameters to maximum quality, nothing works. Still sound and graphic messed up.
But all others maps, except some "gathering exception data" work fine. Firefight or campaign, even multi, all workd fine except classic campaign.
And this morning yet, the only bugs I had were the step sounds and jump messed. Now it's just unplayable.

I don't really know if this will work since it might just be an encoder but not a decoder, but try putting this in your haloce root directory anyway (do not replace the old files, rename them just in case this doesn't work), might fix the sound problem

As for the graphics problem, I've never heard of that before... do you have anti-aliasing enabled? If so then disable it, that's all I know. Else can you try recording your problem in video so I can see what's going on?

Killer, please do shut up. You aren't helping at all. He clearly said that he's not sure if it'll help, but you bashing him like a moron doesn't help either.

Deadleus, try hitting up the halomaps FAQ or troubleshooting pages. They might yield results. However, I recall that if you have hardware acceleration enabled, sound will have a tendency of cutting out.

It sounds like something is wrong with your sounds.map file. I'd try replacing that and testing with a stock campaign level, or something where sound problems are documented like the spv2 a10 public beta or spv3 a50 release.

If all else fails, you could consider downloading the Halo CE installer again and reinstall Halo CE.

Well I thought it could help since some maps exception when you have these updated ogg files. But I think Master's solution is correct anyway.

Halo 1 was working fine for the campaign, and then I downloaded CE and downloaded the campaign and at this moment it became glitched.

Yeah, after all I read, I'll try with the sounds.map file for the sounds, could come from here. Maybe should I search for an updated version.

For the graphics I should be able to fix the problem, yesterday morning yet it wasn't a problem, it could go away as fast as it came.

EDIT : Ok guys, forget it! Now it's gathering exception data for every other maps and still these sounds and graphic bugs. I'll reinstall the game, should it clean it a little.

Are you using an english version of Halo CE? If not, then that may be the cause of why this is happening.

Using French version since the beginning, yeah.
Do you think I should uninstall CE and search for the english version?

Yes, bitmaps.map and sounds.map are different from the english and french versions.. well, they are always different from each language version. But most of the maps here work with the English version. So, you should try that.

Besides, I don't see how running haloce as admin or a pirated halo would be the root cause of a problem concerning sounds.
