For a while, I've been thinking of ideas for the Halo Universe and have considered making a story based on it. Before you say something like "This has been done too many times before", let me say now that the story will dodge unneeded cliche and will not contradict the canon of Halo as a whole. The story is centered around a black op carried out by the UNSC in an attempt to cripple the Insurrection.

It will delve into the war on the insurrection as well as the dark side of the UNSC. There'll be new characters not seen in Halo's canon with their own unique personalities as well as a few returning to compliment the story. I intend to keep you on your heels until the end with a plethora of plot twists and an abundance of mind-f***ery. I have no idea what the name of the story will be as of now but I suppose I'll call it 'Project Ironside' for short.

If anyone is good with drawing Marines, ODSTs and spartans in their battle dress as well as their formal attire, I'd appreciate your assistance. Since this takes place before the war against the covenant, there will be an absence of covenant weapons, however, you will see human vehicles from reach and the main arc as they were before the war. And that's about it.. Just thought I should tell you all that. Feel free to comment and leave some inspiring words or ideas.

The only problem is that 3d modelling would require three times the time. I need someone adept in graphic art that can produce monochromatic images based on the things that I write in this story. Think a little more 'Manga' and a little less AGN.

i can draw pretty well, and shade too. but i don't do coloring. also are these to be concept art for new tags, or just something for a little story board or a comic/whatevs. the other thing is, i'm a big fan of sci fi, fantasy, hyper-realism, grunge, user-modified/improvised equipment, and functionality. let me know what it is u need, and what its for, and perhaps i can find the time/want needed to help.

In particular, I'll mostly need images of the protagonist in the story as well as a few others. As I continue with the story, I'll ask you for certain things and will supply you with the details on soldiers.

I can also draw and shade. I can't really make people look realistic but i could do manga style quite well. Most art that I've posted on halomaps looks, crapish, but i could actually do alot better. Alot better.

Not that i can't make them look realistic, it's just that they would look mangaish...
Also, good luck, because I'm making a story too. ;) Except mine would be off the original Halo storyline some.

I can use all the help I can get. This story I'm writing goes more by the books than anything. I hope to tie a few loose ends in the storyline, maybe.

I suppose so. It's just that I wanted a more laidback design of the marines that looked much more "prototype" to the marines that are currently in the game. Something alone the lines of this
for the marines and maybe for the ODSTs. Also, This is going to be much less unit-centric and much more character-centric. I want the appearances of the marines to be unique and to identify with the reader on a different level. If they're all the same three variants of marines in Halo Reach or Halo 3 or 4, it won't be as much so. There MAY be some marines on with masks but the marines and ODSTs that it's focused on will not be so. "Watts" from the Halo Books is also in the story, before he defected. And I'd imagine that he'd wear the same fatigues as maybe Lasky but without the shoulder pauldron.

I'm actually writing something JUST like this, except it's set AFTER the war against the Covenant... o.o

I'd love to help, but I haven't really figured out how to draw ODSTs and Spartans and all, just yet.
But if you ever need anything scenery or vehicle-related, I only have so much experience with it but I'd still be happy to help~

I've done plenty of halo based story writing, so if you need help, I can provide some (I can also keep it within halo canon)

Since I'm through the preliminary writing, the story's centered around Robert Watt's defection from the UNSC as its never explained in the books. It's called Operation BALLISTA, which was a year before Operation TREBUCHET which is why I named them similarly. I'm not sure if I'll need help on the writing end. I'm pretty far already so I might even have to slow down and proofread. The story consists of 10 acts/chapters, each as long as the last but just as suspenseful

maybe i should ask again and make the question more specific. is this concept art for new tags for halo ce? or is this just pics for some storyboard/junk/whatevs. i'd be much less inclined to help draw for some story, no offence, i just don't have much time right now. if u want weapon/biped/etc. concept art for use of making tags, i'd love to help.

Uh... I'll have you on standby. Im going to finish the story first and then i'll have my artists read it and make them. The only way i'd need models and tags created is if i make this into an extensive project and if i do, i wouldnt use halo ce, due to its limited capabilities both physic wise and graphicwise. I'd use unreal's engine if i ever made this into a game.

Don't you worry about it. It's just that Halo CE's engine is just so limited and in order to accurately portray these events, It has to be on an engine more.. Capable. I want the trees to be alive and the colours to stand out. I want the movements and the swaying of the characters to be lively and believable and I want the battles to be all the more. There's a battlescene set in the snow and If I ever considered this in an engine, It'd be rendered in Unreal because I want some decent fog and snow physics. Once again, though; I haven't even stated that I was sure about the whole game thing. I said you could draw inspiration from it but as far as this being something made specifically for Halo CE, my lips are sealed. This story is over 7,000 words and near 13 pages long. It'd require multiple levels, multiple avid voice actors and multiple art designers to give the attention of detail I'd demand. The story's done, however, and I will be releasing this to the public after watermarking it and applying the needed ownership claims on it. Feel free to read it when It's up.

...just 13 pages? If you're basing it off of something that's already in the books and just filling in a gap, then yeah thats an understandable length, but i was expecting the story to be....longer

Depends on how small the fonts are and how far down or wide the pages are. XD

Size 11 font and 1.15 spacing. And yes, It's not supposed to be long as it's filling a small gap in the Halo story. It's focused around two focal characters that drive the storyline forwards as well as a few backround characters, some more important than others. The names and ranks of some of the soldiers are references to other characters in the Halo series as well as a few mentions outside of the Halo universe. For instance, "Colonel Alexander Hayter" (One of the primary characters) pays homage to the voice of Solid Snake, 'David Hayter'
If anything, I'd rather have it portrayed as a feature-length anime. I don't know many people good with animation of that caliber, though.
