This is a stand-alone release of the HUD used in Foundry.
You can find my first release here:
http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=5560 About:This HUD was made over the period of a few months, years if you count my original release on this website.
I've made it a very simple task to install this HUD into your tagset, most weapons work and have their own HUD assigned to
them, but some do not have a HUD (such as the plasma cannon) because I didn't make any for it, considering I was making this HUD
for an actual Halo 3 tagset. I have however, modified many of the HUD interfaces to work with the H1 stock tagset.
The flamethrower has a HUD, the assault rifle has a 32 bullet, or 60 bullet option (and are labeled as such).
Installation: To install the HUD, just overwrite your tags folder with this one, this will overwrite the weapons, vehicles,
bipeds and necessary files so you can enjoy the HUD with a classic tagset (options for other weapons are included as well)
Changes: Some weapons were modified to fit the parameters of my HUD.
Shotgun - reduced loaded rounds to 6 (so it accommodates the meter)
Pistol - reduced loaded rounds to 8 (again, so it accommodates the meter)
Needler - reduced loaded rounds to 19 (same deal)
The only other modifications to the weapon tags was the HUD referencing. If you have a modified weapon\vehicle\biped tag and
wish to keep your own modifications, look at the installation instructions to see how to make the appropriate changes.
Manual Installation Instructions:Weapons Installation:To install the weapons portion of the HUD (meters, icons, numbers)
Open your .weapon of choice, scroll down to the INTERFACE section and within the
HUD INTERFACE tab, locate the "weapon_name.weapon_hud_interface" of your weapon (with the "weapon_name"
being replaced by the weapon you are using.
Vehicles Installation (Driver):For the small arrow seen by the warthog driver, open the vehicle tag and scroll to the UNIT HUD INTERFACE section
In the UNIT HUD INTERFACE tab, add the appropriate tag for your vehicle.
Biped Installation:To install the motion sensor, shields and accompanying items, open up your biped
(the standard cyborg was used in this example) and scroll down to the NEW HUD INTERFACES
section, there you will see the UNIT HUD INTERFACE tab, this is where you will reference
the tag for the biped:
halo3\hud_v2\bipeds\mp_masterchief (for the shields without a health meter)
halo3\hud_v2\bipeds\sp_masterchief (for the shields with the health meter)
Globals Installation:To install the motion sensor sweepers and friendly player icon, numbers, and a file that references a ton of other things scroll
down in your globals to the INTERFACE BITMAPS section.
For the following tabs, add their respective references.
HUD GLOBALS: halo3\hud_v2\ui\default (this references a host of other tags)
MOTION SENSOR SWEEP BITMAP: halo3\hud_v2\ui\tracker_sweeper (the white scan line)
MOTION SENSOR SWEEP BITMAP M(ask): halo3\hud_v2\ui\tracker_mask (alpha blending for the sweeper)
MULTIPLAYER HUD BITMAP: halo3\hud_v2\ui\hud_multiplayer (the arrow above a teamate player)
HUD DIGITS DEFINITION: halo3\hud_v2\ui\conduit (the numbers for the weapons, grenades, flag points, ect)
Please do NOT forget the above items if you are installing the HUD, these serve a real purpose and ignoring
them will just make your map look ugly.
Grenades Installation:To install the grenades part of the HUD, scroll down in your globals
to the GRENADES section.
Add the folling items respectively:
human fragmentation tab in the HUD INTERFACE slot: halo3\hud_v2\grenades\spartan_grenades\frag
covenant plasma tab uses halo3\hud_v2\grenades\spartan_grenades\plasma
Mounted Weapons Installation:for the warthogs mounted weapon, open up the .weapon used by the vehicle and scroll down
to the INTERFACE section.
For the HUD INTERFACE tab add:
halo3\hud_v2\vehicles\chaingun (do this for any files that require this setup)
