In my 5 or so years involved with CE I've always ran into an unbelievably frustrating error with campaign scenarios, in that they always have ROYALLY screwed recorded animations in the levels (this causes dropships & other vehicles to run into objects or bsps and drop ai off the map, or just completely break cutscenes, let alone immersion) when extracted using HEK+ (or if you use the Ghost's scenarios). These bugged recorded animations are, I've been lead to believe, located directly in the scenario so the recorded animations cannot be extracted or downloaded separately, forcing me and probably everyone with this issue to edit the recorded animations' starting parameters manually to solve this issue, which is highly time consuming and often self destructive if you're just winging it. What I've always wondered is does this occur to everyone or are there some people who have extracted scenarios without issues? My next question is if you have been able to extract the vanilla scenarios and have the recorded animations run correctly, would you be willing to upload them for me? I'd like to compile these campaign scenarios and an entire tagset and upload them (with credit going to you and bungie, of course), resulting in a complete set of bug free tags for modders to use, maybe after they've had to get a fresh tagset due to a hard drive wipe or if they just wanna get into sp modding. This would essentially be a completely debugged counterpart of the Ghost's single player tags. If you have read through this and want to help me out just upload the scenarios and I'll get to work on the tagset. I'd like to try and get rid of this recorded animations errors for everyone who wants to make their own campaign mods. Additionally, if you any knowledge on how to not get this issue when extracting, I'd love to hear your input.

I had that problem too, but when I replaced my c_dropship.physics tag with a clean backup one, the animations worked perfectly fine.

that's interesting, as that never worked for me in the past.


Did you download the new physics off of the site or simply re-extract with hek plus?
