I was trying to export the Reach DMR model with it's bones and the Bluestreak exporter kept saying "Exceeded the vertex weight list countSkin:Skin"
It highlights a pill shaped outline and the bone "frame gun" in the bone list for the DMR. I have no clue how to fix that.
It exports just fine without the bones.

Is it necessary to use weighted verts with a weapon? All parts are mechanical, so it would be simpler to just separate moving parts into objects and link them to the bones rather than using a skin.

I actually prefer skin modifiers to keep all my geometry together under the same hierarchy. But it seems to be the skin modifier that's causing the problem in this situation, so why not try this method?
