I usually record my Halo videos with FRAPS and used to compress them with windows movie maker, but now I have Sony Vegas Pro 10, which allows me to save a video to many different filetypes and qualities. Does anyone know which would be the BEST (picture quality, audio) for a video such as these?

I personally upload MP4s in 1280x720 res (720p) so that the file size isn't too big but it still looks good

Yup, MP4/FLV is the best format to go with. Other than that, there's always the alternative WebM, which is also pretty nice for YouTube. The footage you want to record should have a 16:9 format and Fraps has to record at 29.97 FPS (Fraps has that extra option I believe). Edit it with the default resolution, set it to 30 FPS, Audio Bitrate to 126 and render it with 50% video quality (if Sony Vegas supports things like that).

That's how I do it anyway.
