The cliff here could have been improved upon, especially with the number of polys I see you are using from the pics. People seem to forget that cliff's are generally large types of rock that are formed over a period time rather then a smoothed out boundary. I know halo is an older engine but there are still plenty of tricks to pull of a rocky type of surface rather then a repeating texture.

Of course there are also smoothed variations (you can see on google), but the pictures seem to be a little too smooth for my taste, and obtain (from the looks of it), generally a very similar standpoint on the z-axis.

Here is a concept I was working on for Proj. K11.



I apologize for a view port capture, but obviously the cliff is brown. (grass is green, water is blue and structural is grey). And whenever this is completed, Disaster will be going over the cliff layer I have here with his own rocks that he sees fit to the environment. So you can see what I am getting at.
