Ok, this may be an incredibly stupid question, but, Halo 2 vista Custom maps- Will they play on Xbox? like district and uplift...

Sorry, my friend, but they will not. I've tried. However, it may be possible to convert them with a lot of painful work.

well this doesent pertain to halo 2 exactly but i have seen custom content on the xbox for halo 1. im still researching how to do it but ive played a map that was for halo ce on the xbox. if anyone remembers old halo ce stuff like floodgulch (blood gulch flooded with water) ive seen it on the xbox. search for halo 1.5 on the interenet and i bet you will find the xbox executable with the custom maps. apparently the maps themselves were converted using a program called arsenic. getting aresenic running so far has been a mystery to me. otherwise id be converting my maps right this minute lol.

ARSEnic is a pain in the ARSE. and any ce map can be converted to xbox, you need to swap out scenarios with the original maps. if you have custom weapons/vehicles/ai you have to swap those in too, but it can be done. I've seen Extinction on the xbox!

yeah i need help getting ARSEnic (lol)running. do you have any tips clonecam? do you know any prerequisites? also if you can help possibly make a video or make a tutorial, it would be extremely benificial to the comunity pm me if and or when you wish to do this/have it done.

well for one if youve got halo 1 for xbox they do have ports for halo 2 maps to be run using halo ce and you can go back to what we posted before, to port them to xbox but im pretty sure maps from halo 2 are not as easy to port. i know that you will need a modded xbox original to run them. good luck! if you figure it out, then gratz! i dont have much else to impart. sorry for not being uber helpful
