Hallo I love halo custom edition. And I am trying to mod. But I can already model in blender 3d. But texturing stuff en putting the model in halo has to be dun in 3ds max.
And texturing the imported model is the problem. I uploaded a youtube video with the process its 5 min but you can see al you need to see in 4 min. If you guys help me I will post a video on how to get 3d models from blender put them in 3ds max and build them into a map.
I'm from the Netherlands and my English spelling sucks so please don't rip on me for that. (I have to google everything i post for spell check)

Thanks for trying to help me out.
I have tried both things and the same stuff is happening. Your right about the .obj it saves the material and if you defuse it is saves the color to. But it still does not allow or show texturing.
And I tried exporting and importing a textured model as a collada file but is did not keep the texture and it also did not allow texturing. If you think its handy I can make a short video on that as well.
So any more ideas? Edited by voodoobram on Nov 22, 2012 at 12:17 PM

It's not practical but you could always scrap blender and start using 3dsmax.
