So that's the link to the models, and i want to in-game them. The ones i want are the elite model and the shotgun model. Anyone willing to do it for me? thanks in advance XD

PS: the reason i need .3ds is because gmax can't open strait .max files.

Im still not sure if its h3 or reach one.

just posting here because i downloaded the file before;

the elite is absolutely hidious. the neck is smashed into pieces, the face is skewed, the body is not even from halo reach, the smooth normals are broken (and applying a smooth modifyer looks terrible) so you are better off bugging the halo reach extractor people about the authentic model.

The authentic model is far too high poly for ce, which is why i want to open this model in gmax, edit it to my liking, add proper smoothing, texture, and in-came. Even if it's terrible looking, i believe i can fix it up. Lol.

No such thing as far too high poly when it's from reach. It should be "far too laggy when playing in ce", but that's fine if you have a gaming computer.

good luck trying, when I said the neck is smashed I meant that verteces are splayed everywhere with no definable shape or form. also, the face and entire body looks like a mutated hybrid of the halo 2 and 3 elite biped.

also, the model you so desire has a lot of polys too, so good luck with that low poly thing.

1: i already have the model, thanks to altis.
2: i'm remaking most of the body pieces, but not the armor, and deleting the head because it is useless, because it is unseen at all times.
3: i'm also lowering poly count as we speak.
4: I'm removing unneeded detail to lower poly count.


When i'm done i plan to have something a little higher poly then standard tagset bipeds.

1.You're very wrong.
It's seen whenever you look at the Elite.
It's very important to make things look nice and consistent both in 3p and FP.

Very wrong about what? and what do you think i meant when i said "patching up and fixing the model"? I'm keeping it consistent, while lowering the poly count and repairing the model.
