i'm currently having a great time modding halo especially with AI on the maps however I'm looking to have the marines on my team so we can fight the covies ect.
I'm using HHT, Spark edit, HMT 3.5 and I know these wont get me what I want, so how do I do it? (Make marines on MY team - because at the moment all AI are going against me -lol
Help appreciated

Use these programs... http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=411These are the main tools you need to properly mod/make your own map. As for ai, in multiplayer maps change the to team "0 - default by player" to make them on red team and "1 - player" to make them on blue. As for single player maps what it says is what it is, eg. "2 - human" will be human and ect.

Are you modding halo custom edition or halo combat evolved? Edited by john117 on Sep 26, 2012 at 02:03 AM

I have no idea how to use your programs but the teams for ai are as I mentioned above, since the game engines are the same (well... similar).

that works too. once you have gotten the hang of custom edition modding, the possibilities are basically endless. :D

I say again, sapien crashes, i can't find the multiplayer map scenario tags the tutorials are telling me about, tags are somewhat unstable and unreliable, guerilla? it edits stuff wooh... but then what?
Tool opens up a cmd window briefly before disappearing...
That is why I mod Combat Evolved, nothing in regards to custom editions works, or has ever worked for me...

Sapien probably crashes due to missing or corrupt tags, post your debug.txt (CE directory). Tags are completely stable when used correctly, not sure what that's supposed to mean. Gueriilla is for editing tags, and is the main program you'll use in the editing kit, it allows you to edit basically anything in .tags. For tool, go to the halo directory and copy the location. It should be either: c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition. Or c:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition. TOOL is run from cmd, so do the following: Start->Run->CMD->[Enter]. CD Your-Halo-Directory
Then type in tool and hit enter. It'll list all the commands available. For example, to build a level: tool build-cache-file level/yourlevel/yourscenario
