No matter what I do, I delete the old UI, empty recycle bin and place a new different UI in there, I still get the same default UI every time. The strangest part in of all of this is when I actually delete the ui.map in the map folder, Halo still loads normally with the same default UI.

...okay...where exactly is Halo getting the UI folder from then? I already did a search and I have no other UI.map file anywhere else. Where does Halo load it's UI from?

EDIT: Woah, check this out! I removed all of the maps from the map folder and Halo can still run normally! I do not have my custom maps now but I can still start a server on any of the default maps!

Maybe you didn't install the game as an administrator or something... when you open your maps folder in windows explorer does a button called "Show compatibility files" appear at the top bar of the windows explorer window (where it says open with, share with and new folder)? If so, click it and it will bring you to a "fake" directory somewhere in your AppData folder where files are stored if they are moved, saved, or edited by another program or user that didn't get administrator rights from User Account Control, just cut and paste all the maps from there and put them back in your real maps folder inside your normal halo custom edition directory. (I had this problem before when I compiled my first UI map in tool without an admin privileged cmd, I ended up reinstalling the game because I couldn't find out how to fix the UI xD)
