Hey guys,

Not sure if I've seen this one before, but I am getting a strange visual bug on all the maps I am working on, and that is that any dynamic light with a radius less than 2 does not illuminate the BSP, and if it is above 1, it only illuminates scenery objects, players, vehicles etc. Lights that have a radius of 1 do not illuminate anything. These are from the stock tags, like the grenade lights and so on, and I'm not sure what could be causing it. On unedited (original) maps, it all works fine.

I am gonna try and compile a new map with entirely stock tags and see what happens, but I was just wondering if anyone had experienced something similar.

The vector normalisation map does look like I think it is supposed to. I would post a screenshot but I can't print screen for some reason (I believe this is unrelated though, I've had the grenade light problem before)

I am just really stumped. Haven't seen this on anyone else's maps before either...

I should just stop being lazy and try compiling a map with fresh tags. I'll post back if I have any success.

i don't think it has to do with globals, i have had this error before too, and it happens with dynamic lights that has specular on (can you see the lights from frag grenades but not from plasma ones?) they don't illuminate the bsp, and also biped's shadows disappear, i think it has to do with either the bsp or the amount (or maybe type) of objects that you have in your map, not sure tho
