Just wondering if CD hashes stay the same through reinstalls.
I want to reinstall Halo on a new PC. Just wondering if my CD hash will remain the same. I play on servers with ranking systems or pirate protection systems. So just need to make sure I won't lose my rank or worse, on servers with pirate protection systems; be banned. I would be changing operating system by the way, either to a different version of XP or to Ubuntu. |

as long as you keep using the same cd key, the hash will remain the same (own experience)

Hash is only related to your Halo product key, OS or re-install do not affect your hash.

So I can be confident that my rank will remain the same on all servers + I won't be registered as a pirate? |
