Just a quick question regarding Sparkedit 3.02, when I go to open maps eg. BloodGulch, why does it crash??? I'm opening the Halo Custom Edition Versions, but have converted then with the Map Converter and don't see why they are not working. Anyone know how to fix this? Or do I need a newer version of Sparkedit?

There are certain things that the Map Converter does to map files that allow them to be opened in Halo Combat Evolved, but these changes will cause Sparkedit to crash if it opens such a converted .map file. Simply put, you should: 1. Extract the resources of the map you want (with HEK+) 2. Edit the map (its scenario file and its tags) you want with the Halo Custom Edition editing tools (ie. Sapien, Guerrila etc.), then 3. Compile the map, and convert the final map into Halo PC format using the Map Converter.
There isn't much of a workaround. Edited by sargejohnson on Aug 18, 2012 at 09:25 AM
